Board Chair
Tom R. Dean, PhD
Retired Sr Director Alcon Labs
Tom has been actively serving children and families in Tarrant and Parker County through Centers of Hope for over 20 years. He founded West Fort Worth Center of Hope (WFWCOH) in 2019 and retired in 2022 as WFWCOH's first Executive Director. He remains as Board Chair.
Tom has also held multiple leadership roles with the award winning Parker County Center of Hope. He served for many years as Board Chair, COO and in a variety of volunteer roles.
He and his wife, Denise, live in Weatherford and are overjoyed to have 3 married children and 9 grandchildren. They serve in various roles at their church, The Hills WFW.

Thomas W. Watson
Retired, Former President
Tom has served on the Board of Directors of the West Fort Worth Center of Hope since its inception. In 2020, he retired from a long career in the homebuilding industry. Tom began teaching construction classes for individuals seeking a career in the construction industry at Parker County Center of Hope in 2016. He continued training individuals at the West Fort Worth Center of Hope. Tom has served as Table Shepherd at Christ Chapel Bible Church for nearly two decades and participates in Bible Study Fellowship.
Tom and his wife, Jennifer, a professor at Texas Christian University, have lived in the Fort Worth area since 1982.

Board Secretary
Patti Young
Retired Educator
Patti received her BS degree in education from Texas Wesleyan and her MA from Texas Woman's University. She is a retired education administrator. She now serves as a marketing representative for PureandClean, a medical supply company located in Nixa, Missouri. Patti has worked with the West Fort Worth Center of Hope for the past three years. She currently serves as the Board Secretary. She resides in Parker County and has experience working with nonprofits within the community. She is active in her church, Christ Chapel Bible Church. Patti attended high school in the west Fort Worth area and is passionate about serving the individuals and families that reside in this community.

Jeff Turner
CPA
Jeff received a B.B.A. in Accounting from Abilene Christian University and earned a M.S. in Finance from the University of Oklahoma. He is a licensed CPA in the State of Texas and began his career in public accounting as an auditor with KPMG, LLP. Jeff is currently the Vice President of Finance & Accounting for Founders Oil & Gas Operating, LLC, an upstream oil & gas exploration company. Jeff has also held various leadership roles within the private equity industry including over eight years at TPG Capital, LP, a leading global private investment firm, and over three years at Blue River Partners, LLC, an outsourced back-office solution for investment advisors. Outside of work, Jeff volunteers with his local church, enjoys staying active outdoors with hunting, hiking and camping, as well as spending time with his wife Emily and their three children.

Sherry McKenzie
Account Executive with FrontDoor
Sherry McKenzie is currently the Business Development Manager for the Dallas Fort Worth area for Frontdoor, Inc., which is a nationwide home services company. She’s been with Frontdoor for 17 years. Prior to this, she was the Marketing Director for Stockyards Station in the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards. Sherry has a Batchelor of Fine Arts in Communication and Journalism. She resides in Fort Worth with her husband of 27 years and they have 3 adult children. She is a member of The Hills Church West Fort Worth Campus and is also a mentor for students through Academy 4. Her passion is encouraging others to be their best selves and find and live out their purpose. Sherry’s purpose: “I am an open and honest woman, fearlessly exploring life, grow and sharing through God’s unconditional love.”
